Tollring API Framework Terms of Use

1. Purpose

This policy is designed to ensure that all users of Tollring’s Application Programming Interfaces (“APIs”) can access and use the services in a way that is consistent, secure, and reliable. By using our APIs, you agree to abide by this Policy and inform Tollring on how these APIs will be used, and consent to charges which fall outside of the defined fair use guidelines.

2. Fair Use Guidelines

You agree to use the APIs in a manner that is fair, respectful to the platform, and does not abuse or interfere with the services provided to others. The following practices are considered fair use:

• Making up to 1000 API calls per day per application.
• Reasonable burst activity during normal business use (e.g., for data syncing, report generation).
• Using the API in accordance with documented methods and supported use cases.

3. Prohibited Competitive Use

You may not use, or permit others to use, our API or any data obtained through it (including transcriptions, metadata, analytics, summaries, or any derived output) to create, enhance, train, benchmark, or otherwise support any product or service that provides or facilitates transcription services, analytics on transcriptions, or any functionality that competes directly or indirectly with our platform.

This includes, but is not limited to, using the API for:

• Extracting or reproducing functionality substantially similar to ours;
• Aggregating or benchmarking data to evaluate or compare competing transcription or analytics tools;
• Feeding or training models, algorithms, or databases used in competing services;
• Direct or indirect use by transcription analytics providers, call intelligence platforms, or communication monitoring services.
• Violation of this clause will constitute a material breach of our Fair Use Policy and Terms of Service, and may result in immediate suspension or termination of your access, along with legal action where applicable.

4. Unacceptable Use

The following behaviors are considered unfair or abusive and may result in throttling, suspension, or termination of access:

• Excessive API calls beyond the limits set by your plan or tier.
• Continuous polling or scraping behavior that overloads the service.
• Attempting to reverse engineer, clone, or mimic the API or its underlying systems.
• Using the API for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes.
• Sharing your API keys with third parties without authorization.
• Circumventing or attempting to circumvent rate limits or usage restrictions.

5. Rate Limits

Rate limits vary depending on your usage level. The following are typical limits unless specified in your agreement:

6. Monitoring and Enforcement

We reserve the right to monitor usage and enforce this policy. If you exceed the fair use limits you will be charged. If this policy is breached, we may:

• Throttle your API access
• Temporarily or permanently suspend your access
• Contact you for clarification or plan upgrades

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the APIs constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
